Give Us An A Contest

Students Rewarded for Academic Achievements

Four times during the academic year, the Cooperative draws 20 winners from among entries in the contest.

To qualify, each applicant must submit a copy of a report card with at least one “A” earned during the grading period and reside in Wake, Vance, Nash, Granville, Johnston, or Durham County.

Students should include their parents’/guardians’ names and addresses, and the school the student attends.

How the program works

Four drawings are held during the school year to recognize area students who have earned at least one "A" (or equivalent score) on their most recent report cards.

Twenty students' names are randomly selected from among the entries to receive a $50 U. S. Savings Bond each. After the winners are announced, winners can expect to wait up to 8 weeks for the savings bonds to arrive.

NON-WINNERS WILL NOT BE NOTIFIED - YOU SHOULD CHECK BACK TO THE WEBSITE AFTER THE DRAWINGS FOR WINNERS' NAMES.

If you don't win during one drawing, KEEP ENTERING each time the student receives an "A" - you could win the next time around!

To enter, students should include:

  • A copy of the report card
  • Parents' names (if applicable)
  • Home address
  • School
  • Telephone Number AND email address

NOTE: Because each school district may have a different time for issuing report cards, if a student's entry misses one deadline, the entry will automatically be included in the next drawing.
