Join us at the Member Advisory Committee Meetings Scheduled for February 2012

Do you want to discuss recent energy legislation and electric utility issues that matter to you? Then join Wake Electric at one of its Member Advisory Committee (MAC) meetings in February. During these meetings, members will have the opportunity to hear reports on the current plans and progress of Wake Electric, as well as engage in open discussion with Wake Electric’s senior management team.

These casual meetings are open to all Wake Electric members. As an incentive, we will have several drawings for a $25 credit on your next electric bill. You can increase your odds of winning by bringing another Wake Electric member who has never attended a MAC meeting. If your guest’s name is drawn for the $25 credit, you will also receive a $25 credit. A catered dinner is included for all attendees.

The February MAC meetings will be held at Wake Electric's Youngsville office at 228 Park Avenue at 6:30 p.m. Members can choose to attend ONE of the following dates:

• Monday, February 13
• Wednesday, February 15
• Thursday, February 16

Wake Electric hosted three Member Advisory Committee (MAC) meetings in October, and they were a great success! More than 150 member attended and the MAC Meetings.

Jim Mangum, General Manager and CEO of Wake Electric, discussed the increasing role that natural gas is playing in our electricity generation mix, as well as new and somewhat controversial technologies like horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing that are driving the natural gas markets.

Members enjoyed a delicious meal, catered by Cook Shack Catering our of Louisburg, NC, as well a fellowship with one another.
